basically what happens here is that, while Lin was unconscious after being amonbended, she's having a very vivid dream. now, without her bending, how can she help her friends? how can she stop Amon? how can she face her mother again? and i'm assuming that Toph is dead. i highly doubt by now that she's alive. if she indeed turned out to be alive, well, screw this comic.
please excuse the crappy backgrounds, use of cheap brushes, crappy shading, and seemingly unfinished style. i'm supposed to color this whole thing, but my aim was to finish this 2-part comic before the finale this saturday. coloring takes a long time, so i just did things very simply.
i have a lot of Lin feels....A LOT. SHE DOES NOT DESERVE HER BENDING TO BE TAKEN. she's the most baddass character next to her mom. i almost cried bucketloads of tears when seeing her helpless before Amon. i KNEW it would happen soon, but i was in denial about it. i really hope energybending is reversible so that Korra could give back Lin her bending! i mean, WHAT IS A BEI FONG WITHOUT EARTHBENDING?
and Lin's earthbending is the only reminder she has of her mom.
I agree; she gave up everything she had for the one she thing she treasured the most: Tenzin and his family. It was the bravest thing I'd ever seen on a cartoon. Toph would be proud of her daughter. I'm kinda glad Amon took her bending actually. I mean, I hate the fact she can't Earthbend, but if the Equalists hadn't captured her and she succeeded in destroying both airships, she would've gone down with them. She knew what she signed up for the minute she jumped onto the airship.
